About us
The story of Kaptam Gamers
Kaptam Gamers started its activities in 2024. We became an association in 2025. We are passionate gamers with experience in video production, PC building, board gaming, and years of background in video gaming.
In 2025, we started organising events in addition to our weekly club nights (Lahti LAN Party). In the future, we will continue our weekly activities and event organising. At the same time, we are refining our operations to be even better for our visitors.
Only LAB and LUT students and staff can attend our current weekly game nights (the LAB area is a "closed area" after 4:00 PM). Instructions for getting there can be found on their own pages.
We publish the latest news in our WhatsApp groups and on Discord — links to these can be found at the bottom of the page. On Instagram you can see pictures from our weekly activities.
We have 16 gaming PCs (12 of which run CS2 & Fortnite smoothly at 1080p 60fps), over 400 games (several copies of popular titles so online play works) and over 40 different board games (popular ones in multiple copies) (Catalogue websites don't have everything because I haven't had time to update them). In addition, we have enough equipment (controllers, TVs, LAN cables, switches, mice, mousepads, keyboards, headphones) that we can host a 12-person LAN party with just our own gear.
